Antwan Schrum: I'm sure that in most cases, the public is educated by their eye care professionals, but many people don't pay attention or actually listen to what is said to them in doctors offices. They want the contacts, the pills or the band-aids and when something that was actually gone over in the office, they will swear up and down that the doctor never said anything.And I'd also say that not enough people ask questions when they visit an optical professional, even when they are asked, "Do you have any questions?" Often they will have questions, but don't want to be thought of as stupid, for asking what seems like a simple question to them, so they never ask. So forums like this, is where you will see their que! stions asked. Of course many times questions don't come up until after they leave the optical office, and if it's after hours, then, online is the only place they can think of to ask their questions....Show more
