I almost have my two year degree but need 5 credits in humanities to graduate. Cheapest solution?

Emery Blando: CLEP is probably your best option for the cost. At just over $13 a credit, it is probably the cheapest way out there. Sure, ALEKS or Straighterline might be a bit cheaper, but they don't offer the credit you need. The Humanities CLEP is 6 credits, so it should be sufficient for what you need. Also, I've taken both CLEPs and ALEKS courses, and I like the CLEPs better as they allow you to get done with the subject much, much quicker than ALEKS. The shortest amount of time I had with an ALEKS course was 5 weeks, while the Humanities CLEP can be passed with around 2-3 weeks of study. Here's a great study guide for the Humanities CLEP: http://www.speedyprep.com/landingpages/clep/clep_h... It's cheaper than the other resource mentioned, and from my personal experience, it's also better.Anyways, congrats on being so close to finishing your degree! That's exciting! Good luck on this last test!...Show more

Marita Stadick: I think clep will be your best option. ! Its self-paced and cheap. You cant get alot better than 6 credits for under $100.If you decide to take the humanities clep, do yourself a HUGE favor to instantcert.com or degreeforum.com (sister sites). Great study material and info from people who have taken them.To get access to specific exam feedback and the flashcards you have to be a paying member. It costs $20 a month but you can get $5 off first month w/ discount code 88654. Don't let the fee scare you away it is totally worth it!EDIT: I'm rmroberts...Show more

Rheba Cockman: I can't choose :( You both have my thanks. I will let the voters decide.

Hobert Dula: Thank you both for the good advice! I am actually a member at degreeforum.net (but not the insta-cert members only area). What's your user name? They haven't been able to come up with anything aside from CLEP/DSST either, this is kind of a last stab before I cave and just do the tests (I know it's odd, but I really don't want to). I'm so grateful fo! r the input. Thanks!...Show more
