Using a DVR is it possible to split something so you can record 2 shows at the same time? ?

Marna Liddie: >is it possible to split somethingI would not look at it as "splitting".If you get a two tuner DVR, then yes, you can record two shows at once. To view this though as splitting is going to cause you problems as you most certainly can not add a coaxial splitter to the input and then expect to record two shows....Show more

Gaston Edgcomb: Yeah most have the capacity to record two at once.

Conrad Puleio: you need 2 tuners.Usually DVRs come with a tuner so you can record one show directly in this.If u r planning to use your VCR too then TV out u can connect to VCR and record another show. But this is not possible if u have a set top box. If u have a cable connection then its possible. You need to split the cable and give one input to tv->vcr and another to DVR....Show more

Felipa Nosis: some can and some cannot. On mine it can record a maximum of 2, but you must be watching one of the two shows. But anymore than that it cannot do. But it is dif! ferent depending on what company you have. Hope this helps =)
