Which costs more - car or health insurance and which gives more bang for the buck?

You would not be able to get insurance for you car if it once had a problem picked up when it was serviced. And in addition, if you made a claim, they could drop you if the death panels they use thought they could get away with it.Why does no other developed nation have the US model of healthcare? Because in the US model, insurance companies use death panels to deny care to those they are meant to cover. And then they raise costs [1]. Lynn Melbourne: You forgot many intangible items in the car insurance rant. It's past the value of the car. There are many other liabilities to fund like car rental, personal damages, etc... I would have to exceed $40,000 per year to break even and I wasn't even sick. I wonder what they would charge someone with a heart condition. That was 10 years ago so today the premium would be double that amount and would increase every year until you are 65. Brittney Inabnit: Both are rip offs. I just don't believe that humans should walk around with price tags dangling around their heads. Unless you believe a human life is worth the ! same as a piece of metal, then there is really no debate.
