answers 0:I went to the ER today for an ear infection. They did a cat scan to make sure I did not have an abscess in my ear. Luckily I did not, but the cat scan showed a "cystic lesion" in my brain. I was not even told what that is so now I am terrified. I'm 24 years old and a mother of 2 little girls, I have no answers and I am very scaredanswers 1:Cysts are generally a result of an infection. The fact you have an ear infection is indicative that your body is fighting an infection somewhere. I suggest strongly that you may have a dental issue you need to deal with, but there are other places where infection can be found. Cysts are formed many times as a result of the lack of nutrients to an organ and it is the body's way of dealing with the deficiency. A good example is PCOS that happens in over a million women a year in America and it is due to deficiencies.95% of all! ear infections are viral, not bacterial. When a doctor gives you an antibiotic to kill bacteria when the problem is viral, it exacerbates the problem and makes it more difficult for the body to deal with the viral infection. If you have ANY root canals or AMALGAM (silver) fillings, you need to start there looking for the source of the infection. If you have ANY sinus problems, the teeth become even more an issue you need to examine.Did the doctor tell you what kind of cyst and location in the brain? That is important to know to help you determine the best course of action. Some cysts can create a problem for the blood brain barrier that protects the brain from toxins in the blood stream. If you got any VACCINATIONS, I would strongly suspect that has created a weakened immune system and has increased your chance of getting a viral infection.good luck to you...
